Do You Have a Story?
We are betting you have a lot of them.
We are looking for real life stories from organizational consultants/practitioners, OD, HR, IT, Engineering, Accounting, all will be considered for publication in a forthcoming book. Funny, serious, successful, failures, all stories are wanted. These are the events you could not imagine you would ever find yourself in when you were in school. It does not matter if the outcome is successful or not.
Examples
- Were you ever caught off guard by a request, tell us about it.
- Were you ever handed an assignment you knew would fail or not help the situation?
- Have you ever run across an illegal or unethical situation?
- Have you ever had to work with someone that was an absolute disaster
- Have you ever had to work for a boss, and the boss was the problem, tell us about iti
- Have you ever had a project fail or suddenly stop in the middle of implementation?
- Have you ever thought “not in my wildest dreams” and yet there you were
- Have you ever had a client hand you a solution and yet they did not know what the problem was? Tell us what happened.
- Have you ever turned down an assignment and why?
Guidelines
- No more than 3 pages and 1-2 pages preferred.
- No Individual or organization names.
- Does not have to be recent, any time period is acceptable
- No profanity
- We will edit for grammar only, but not content
- What did you learn from this experience?
- Send your story to……… with your permission to use in our upcoming book. You will be acknowledge as the author if you desire and if you do not want your name as author we will protect that as well.
