Our goal is to help both individuals and organizations be their best and we excel in providing these services. Initially we typically work with senior leaders to determine root cause, scope of the engagement, desired outcomes, roles and responsibilities etc. We believe in diagnosis before prescription and use the diagnostic approach with all of our consulting engagements.

  • Organization Design is reviewing the current structure and determining how the current structure impacts performance / behaviors and recommending any changes to the structure. This work is often associated with M&A and divestitures.
  • Companies have a life cycle just like humans. Less than 10 of the Fortune 500 companies are over 100 years old. At each stage of development companies have certain challenges that if not solved they tend not to grow much beyond that stage. Mom and Pop organizations (less that 200 employees) have unique challenges and many family run companies have governance issues as well as people issues. Smaller companies (less than 2000 employees) often have both internal and external issues and struggle with growth challenges. Mid size companies (2000-10000 employees) often have structure, people, efficiency, growth and profitability issues. Large organizations (10000-100000 employees) & Super Large organizations (over 100000 employees) often have significant cultural operational and sustainable challenges. All of these issues fall under either Organization development, human resources or change management purview.
  • Conflict resolution, collaboration, team building, cooperation and communications are frequently requested interventions and while important in their own right, these are symptoms of the problem and determining root cause or system support to ensure that we are solving the right problem is critical. During the diagnostic phase we conduct interviews and focus groups to help determine what or how the system is supporting the current behavior and then recommend appropriate system or behavioral changes. Remember all organizations are perfectly aligned to get the results they are getting. There is always a reason why things are the way they are. Sustainable change requires uncovering those reasons and not just treating the symptoms.
